Tangalooma Engagement
We had our 'second' engagement party at Tangalooma on the 5th April 2003. This is a special place for both
Drew and I, as it was the first trip away that we had together, 5 weeks after we first met.
We wanted to have a get together as well as a get away for all our friends and Tangalooma was the perfect place
for just that. I took all the food over in esky's on the catamaran launch and Drew came over in our 4WD, the 'Suzy',
with all the 'drinks' and bits and pieces.
As part of our package, we got to feed the dolphins that come into feed of an evening at the resort. It is all fairly
controlled, but the dolphins are wild and come in on their own accord. They are amazing animals and we got to feed a
fish each. It was then on to the drinks, dinner and fun. Some of the group got onto kareoke later in the evening and
played charades till the wee hours of the morning.
There were a couple of sore heads the next day and a few people short for the BBQ breakfast we put on for everyone. T
he rest of the day was spent doing our own things till the launch at 3.30pm, which took us all back to reality and far
away from our little island. There were a group of us that went quad biking, which was a hoot, a group went 4WD ing and
others went canoeing, snorkelling and just plain ol lounging around on the beach.
